FYI

Holey Guacamoley! It took me at least five minutes to figure out how to add a new entry!

I just thought I'd post my new link, since I was in a change-the-address-of-your-blog-lots-of-times-phase the few months (or years?)

I suddenly want traffic again. See you there, yeahhhh!

There are acts that last and acts that don't.

Acts that need improving, acts you want to end, mind-blowing acts. Acts that people shut up and listen to, acts that people laugh at, and acts that finish without anyone ever noticing because everyone is talking.

Some acts are such that you've seen them once, you've seen them all.
Some acts you want to watch over and over again.

Thank you.

Somerfield and Sainsburys are two supermarkets in London. I have the Somerfield Savers card, and the Sainsburys Nectar card.

I just realised a few mornings ago that the Somerfield Savers card doesn't give you points. All this while I was under the impression that my remaining true to one and only one supermarket would pay off in super duper alot points.

Then the lady at the counter wanted to change MY Savers card for a new one because it apparently didn't work anymore. (normally the other lady would just key in the numbers instead of swiping) But this one lady tossed my Savers card into the bin, offered me a new one and the harsh reality of its no-points-scheme.

I asked back for my old card and ran all the way home.

New bird flu 'less deadly, but more infectious'
*
*Chicken with bird flu
22 April 2005
Source: Science

The number of deaths of people infected with bird flu in northern Vietnam has dropped from 70 per cent to 20 per cent, says the World Health Organization (WHO) office in Hanoi.

This is not necessarily a good thing, it warns. The fall in deaths could mean that the virus, H5N1, is becoming less deadly but more infectious, meaning that although fewer people die from it, it could spread farther and faster. Some scientists believe viruses use this tactic because killing people they infect would reduce their chance of infecting others.

Virus have evolved. They are now smarter and equipped with tactics!
